Ringneck Parrots FAQ

1. Do you sell Indian Ringneck Parrots ?
Yes we are Hobby Breeders, we breed for colour and mutation,
but as we obviously cannot keep every baby we breed we do let some go.

2. How much are your Ringneck Babies ?
Our prices vary depending on colour and mutation Contact Us for more information.

3. Do you have birds available all year round ?
No, as we only let go Handreared babies we run with the breeding season.
We put our adult Ringnecks down to settle around October/November.
Breeding season usually starts early in the new year.

4. How do we get to own one of your Handreared Indian Ringneck Babies ?
If you are interested in owning one of our babies

3 Don’t forget to confirm in your emails.
When we have any information on that seasons babies,
IE Eggs laid, Eggs Hatched, etc. you will receive updates and
information by email.

5. When can I collect my baby ?
We only let our Babies go to their new home usually between 8 and 12 weeks old
when we are satisfied they are fully weaned and eating happily on there own,
Plus this is the best age to bond with their new owner.

6. What do you feed your birds?
Our Babies are fed a specialised handrearing food when they first hatch and up to about 6 weeks old,
then we wean them onto a diet of sprouted soaked seeds and pulses and a good variety of dry seeds.
We also feed hard boiled egg with EMP egg food also a good mix of fresh greens, veggies and fresh fruit.
Only when we are happy they are fully weaned and eating well on their own do they go to their new home.

7. Are your Babies Silly Tame ?
There is no such thing as a silly tame baby at 9 weeks.
All our babies are handreared in the house and are comfortable with
all household noises, TV, Hoover ,Washing Machine, and are hapoy to
be handled and spend time with their human Mum and Dad.
It is then up to their new owner to carry on training and
bring up their baby the way they want.

8. Will my baby have ring on its leg ?
Yes, All our babies are rung with the correct coloured ring with their year of hatching.

9. How do you know if they are male or female ?
All our babies are DNA sexed by blood test.

10. Do you clip their wings ?
ABSOLUTELY NOT. We are very much against any clipping of any birds wings.
All our adult birds and babies are free to fly.

11. What else do I get if I get a bird from Ringneck Parrots Manchester ?
On collecting your baby you will take home enough food EG Sprouted seed,
A variety of dry seed,and Egg Food, to last you a couple of weeks till
you decide what type of diet you are going to feed. We will also give you some fresh
greens, veggies and fruit for when you get home.

12. What other information will I get ?
With your Baby you will receive a hatch certificate stating their Name, owners name,
hatch date, ring number, colour mutation, parents names and mutations via email.

13. Do you supply a travel cage when I collect my baby ?
No, we will ask you to bring a small travel cage plus a blanket to cover them,
Whilst they are being transported to their new home.
Our babies are NOT to be collected in cardboard boxes.

14. Do you deliver ?
At this moment in time we ask everyone to collect their baby, delivery is something
we may look into in the future.

15. Do you keep InTouch ?
Yes very much so, we encourage everyone who has one of our Handreared Ringneck Babies to keep InTouch, We love to here how your new baby is coming along and we are happy to answer any questions as you go on your journey with your new best friend.
